The Disney Challenge

HEAR YE! HEAR YE!

It is time to commence the Disney Challenge! It has been a whole year since we’ve done this but just know that this is all about the lovely characters that we’ve grown up with. Each character is from a Disney movie and is either a princess, prince, or overall good person within it.

Challenge Rules
Participants will be split into teams evenly. Each team will be given 3 characters (chosen using random.org). The teams then have to read 4 tasks from those 3 characters. You will get a new character once 4 tasks for 1 character are completed, reviewed, and posted on the team's review thread. Character categories cannot be repeated until all eight tasks for that character are used on the team's review thread.

For example, if you got Snow White and only completed the first 4 tasks.

Snow White
- Fruit on cover (Ex: Apple) His Banana
- White cover (75%) Why I'm No Longer Talking to White People About Race
- ‘Poison’ in text (pg/% & quote) Poison Study
- Read a book from the Dwarves Books shelf
- 7 in page count
- 4+ pov's Six of Crows
- MC has black hair
- Features an evil stepmother

When you get Snow White again, you will need to finish the remaining 4 tasks.

Snow White

If you have books that will work for the ones already completed - I suggest you put them on hold until you get Snow White again.

Each team will also get 4 skips for the entire challenge. Skips can only be used for characters that you do not want to complete 4 tasks for.

For example, if you got Snow White and wanted to skip 4 of her tasks.

Snow White

After using your first skip for those 4 tasks, Snow White is considered complete for the first portion. Once you get her again, you will have the remaining task to complete.

You can't use two skips on the same character. So since you used one skip for the first 4 tasks, you will have to complete the remaining 4 tasks.

I suggest you use your skips wisely.

This will be a team reading challenge that will run from August 1st to August 31st. The winners will be announced on September 1st.

Teams will be split as evenly as possible. If you would like to be on the same team with anyone, please comment with who when signing up. Please make sure that they also sign up.

When signing up, please mention the number of books you plan on reading for the month of August. These numbers will make it easier for me to make teams match up evenly.

For example,

** You will not be penalized if you go over or under your number.**

100 - 149 pages → 1 pt
150 - 249 pages → 2 pts
250 - 349 pages → 3 pts
350 - 449 pages → 4 pts
450 - 549 pages → 5 pts
550 - 649 pages → 6 pts
650 - 749 pages → 7 pts
750 - 849 pages → 8 pts
850 - 949 pages → 9 pts
950+ pages → 10 pts

Buddy Reads will DOUBLE your points.
BOTM will TRIPLE your points.
