like bella said, < blockquote > and < p > are staples of a pretty post. blockquote changes text alignment, pushing your paragraph further to the right the more times you use it and p changes the font of your text. a lot of the fun with templating is playing with the number of blockquotes to change the indentation level of your text. play around with it somewhere and see what happens! i will add that for every blockquote opening (the <>), you will need a closing after your paragraph, which is < / blockquote > (if it let me type that)
2. images
there's a lot you can do with images on here, which is what we all use to make those colored lines you see everywhere. the html for an image, again like bella said, is < img src="image link (what you'd get from right clicking an image from the internet and selecting copy image link)" width="number" height="number" / >
for the colored lines, i like to use the website colorhexa.com because the links are short and the colors are easy to find. for the more aesthetic images, i primarily use pinterest, and the more complex things are made using canva.
if you would like to see the html for anything rory (the other mod) or i have posted, i am more than willing to share it for you to look through! if you have any specific questions, i am more than willing to discuss any aspect of this further. i know it's really confusing and a lot of weird technical jargon at first
