Elizabeth (femmesole) | 7 comments I've received an e-mail from our local parish priest, John, about his wife, Mo, who was recently diagnosed with bowel cancer. Briefly, the cancer has spread to her liver, chemo has not worked and an operation is not considered viable. They are now turning to palliative care and Mo is moving into a local hospice tomorrow. It is hoped she will eventually be able to return home to be with her husband. I would like to ask for prayer for her, that God may lay His hand on Mo and heal her, or if that is not His will, then that He may grant her a peaceful end.

Thank you, everyone.

Karen L. Hi Mrs D.

Thanks so much for allowing our group to pray for this dear woman.
"Lord God, have mercy on Mo and her husband. Bring them so close to you that they hear you speak to their hearts daily. Lead and guide them; comfort them. Bring your will with many blessings to them.
Amen"

I will keep them in my prayers. Keep our group posted on any changes.

Blessings,
Karen

Elizabeth (femmesole) | 7 comments Thank you to everyone for your prayers. My husband has known this lady for many years - I know her only a little but she is very kind, and has a unique ability to connect with anyone, to draw people out of themselves, very gently, even the shyest and most awkward of people. I know she also has some close friends who will be very distressed, so I pray for them too.

I will let you know when I hear anything more.

Elizabeth (femmesole) | 7 comments Very sorry to tell you all that Mo died yesterday in her sleep, with her husband and family with her. She will be much missed but she has gone home.

Thank you for your prayers, everyone - perhaps these could now be for her family as they adjust to her loss, which has been relatively sudden. She first became aware that something was wrong in July, but it was only about September/October that it was realised it was serious.

xx

Karen L. So glad we were able to pray for her. She is with the Lord now and I will indeed pray for her family and loved ones. How quickly some cancers move. Life is a gift.
