Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-Thon discussion

How do you manage your books? Do you keep all the books you have read? Do you get a new bookshelf when you run out of shelf space or get rid of books to make space in your existing shelves? Where do the books you are not keeping go?

I have a lot of books and bookshelves but have been clearing them out some over the years because I overdid it. Always plan to keep a library though. I use ebooks and audio as well. I keep favorites I want to reread physically or hard to find or special editions.

I don’t buy books that often anymore so those I buy I do keep. I get most of my books from free little libraries, Storytel and my library though.

I have a clear-out every so often, and donate books I don't want to local charity shops. I don't use a spreadsheet or anything. I'd love to have that many books though!
