I have been frequently a public library that has the most traffic in the city. What I particularly enjoyed on a recent visit is the jigsaw puzzle left partially solved, enough to entice the puzzle solvers to solve and to borrow boxes of puzzles that are available for loan. Although I am far from an avid solver of jigsaw puzzles, I do enjoy them and enjoy contributing to the solution of the current community effort.
What do you enjoy about a library you use!

That indeed sounds fun!
I have most books either at home or through Storytel. When I go to my local library it’s yo pick up my hold so I’m in and out in 2 minutes lol

I love the digital offerings from my local public library — ebooks, audiobooks, e-magazines, and films/series to stream. Sometimes there’s a long waiting list, but eventually my turn will come, and in the meantime, there are lots of other choices. And so convenient with no need to go when they are open because they always are ;)
Same for me, I almost exclusively use the online content of my library. I don‘t mind the waiting time, something is always available…
I use my local library a lot, mostly paper but some digital. I also frequent street libraries in the hope of getting home with fewer books than I set out with 😄
I work at our downtown library so I get access to the back with my own personal bookstore, a cart of arc's, isolation rooms, and a gym no one ever uses. It's lovely.
Here in the UK lots of villages have converted their red telephone boxes into community libraries. I get excited when I come across one and can't help taking a look and tidying the shelves a bit! I always try and leave a book especially if I end up taking one.

Sounds great Doni!

I have been making it a point to use my local library, including their ebook service. I also use their film and magazine services. I'm determined to support them, and help the environment by borrowing more of my books, and buying them less often. It also saves me money!

They installed 2 nice water-proof shelving units with glass fronts. Many towns in Germany are setting up these swapping shelves now.
Cathy I understand that some places in Europe have limited access to public libraries and that these small libraries help readers.
