Hello! I'm looking for a fun book for my 12YO niece. She said she likes books where enemies evolve to fall in love with one another. I'm looking for a good clean version of that kind of story line, and one that also offers a good, exciting story for that age group in addition to just the romance. She does enjoy a bit of fantasy, but doesn't seem limited to that genre. Would appreciate any help. Thanks!

"The Traitor's Game" by Jennifer A. Neilson is one. It's the first of a trilogy, I believe. Tbh, I don't remember much of the plot because I read it myself around that age, but I can attest that it was clean enough for a 12yr old:)

If she likes historical fiction, I know lots of books that have intense and interesting plot lines with characters that eventually fall for each other.
