Hello team!

Your spreadsheet, Round 1 tab, has been updated with your first three characters: Merida, Vanellope von Schweetz, & Kuzco! Please remember that the challenge begins on 8/1 and that you only need to finish 4 tasks (out of the 8) before getting a new character.


FYI —this will be what the colors mean for the same round.
Light Orange will be a new character.
Light Purple will be when you complete the first 4 out of 8 tasks.
Dark Orange will be the new character you have but need to complete the remaining 4 tasks.
Dark Purple will be a fully completed character.

So do we start with Merida? Or can we bounce around to the other 2?

We can read for any of the three we were assigned! As long as we do 4 out of the 8 for each one, we'll get a new character. So go ahead and fit your books into the tasks for whichever active character they work for

Also what does pg/% and quote mean

When you have a prompt that asks for a quote (like Snow White: Poison' in text (pg/% & quote)) you'll need to add the quote plus the page number or percentage you're at in the audiobook. Hope this helps! :)

Yes! You can change as long as you haven't yet posted the review to the review thread. Nothing on the spreadsheet is official - it only "counts" once you've posted on the review thread

what goes on the banked books tab?

You can put books in the banked tab once you finish them and post them later if they don't fit for any of our current tasks. Also if you read a book that works for a particularly difficult task that we haven't been assigned yet, you can bank that book so when we finally do get that task it'll be easy to complete

Then, yes, everyone can read the same book and post it for their own task.

I had posted my book for Merida on the SS but when I got to review and thread and posted it THEN I saw that others had finished that one off. I think it would be respectful if someone adds a book after the 4 books are listed in a character's spot to let others know. Some of you read faster and some slower, so please if we have claimed a spot at least notify that person that you've removed them from a book.

Caroline - would you care if I put Sunrise on the Reaping in place of Fourth wing for those points? I'm not sure if that book will count for a topic/ would be page points only if under 150 pages?

Which item would you like to use Gifted& Talented for? You have it has spoiled character and over 500 both on the spreadsheet????

Oh jeez, total oversight! I didn't realize I'd put it in 2 spots and I've had it read for a few days. Thanks for letting me know. I removed my book for you so you can use yours for spoiled character. :)
