Japanese Light Novel Book Club discussion

The August 2025 group read is The Too-Perfect Saint: Tossed Aside by My Fiancé and Sold to Another Kingdom (Light Novel) Vol. 1 by Fuyutsuki Koki. This is a delightful light novel series and, if you enjoy it, it was animated and had a complete series in Summer 2025.

I hope you all enjoy this LN as much as I have.

I absolutely loved the anime series and look forward to reading the novel. I especially liked how the younger sister, Mia, was portrayed in the anime. She easily could have fallen into either the awful or the obsessed sister trope, but they managed to keep her realistically loyal to her sister (even if she was a little dense at the start).

Just finished volume 1, and I'll have to say it was a fun read. The random little surprises as you go and multiple narrators made the story flow and kept it interesting. Though it could have been a stand-alone, I'm glad it's a series, I still have a lot of unanswered questions.
