I love the descriptions in this book. And the story has been very engaging. I feel so bad for the little sister.

I came into this one thinking I won't enjoy it. But I'm already surprised by what I do like about it - vivid and rich descriptions of Indian culture, clothing, food, and lifestyle. Really puts you in the place and time!

The audio version was excellent. it actually makes me want to read books 2 and 3.

I really enjoyed the audio as well. And PAT - that's why I love this group...I read lots of books picked here that I likely wouldn't read otherwise, and more often than not, I enjoy them more that I thought I would.
