I have read a couple of sci-fi books, and I think your story is quite captivating. The concept of a small group of somewhat misfits and an organization acting as a ‘moral guide’, I’d love to see where they interact 😅.
I’d love to read your manuscript, but I am a paid reader, I offer;
- Feedback on characters, pacing, plot, tension, and suspense.
- Honest in-line comments and reactions in your manuscript.
- A detailed report summarizing your story’s strengths and areas to improve.
- Typos corrected (if you’re okay with it!).
- Actionable suggestions to enhance your work.
- Ongoing support—I’m always here to answer your questions.

The setting is roughly 300 years from now after humanity has set out to expand, explore and colonize the stars, just like we've always done. However, to prevent humanity from repeating the mistakes of his shared past, an order of knights was created, independent from any government or military body to act as a moral guide during this expansionist era. they're known as the "Terran Knights". I'm open to changing that name if anybody has any suggestions after reading the first book. I plan on introducing the knights and their purpose to the readers throughout the book series. The knights are important to the overarching plot line of the series, but they are not the central point and don't play a role in this book. The world building will be slow, but detailed and complete.
To sum up: “The Terran Knights are equal parts warriors, scholars, merchants, and rogues. They’re not just fighters—they’re thinkers, philosophers, dealmakers, and tricksters when it suits them.”
The story follows Matt, a traveling mercenary/troubleshooter, Anika, a Tracker on the world of Saurath, and Cal, Matt's 2000-year-old AI first officer on his ship. Matt is hired by a mysterious benefactor to help Tracker Anika Veyr (similar to a detective) investigate children who've gone missing from the slums of Vyrnathys, the capitol city of Saurath. Cal provides strategic support as well as a character in her own right with significant involvement. It is important to know that Cal is NOT a typical AI and was not created by humanity. Saurath is not a human controlled world. It was originally populated by populated by Luparan's, but a colony ship from India was damaged and unable to complete it's journey, forcing the colonists to settle on Saurath.
I can't really describe the story much more without spoilers.
This book is complete, but it's at a stage where I need another set of eyes on this to see if it's really up to being published soon. This will HOPEFULLY be just the first in a series of books I want to write.
Open to suggestions for title changes and minor details to make the story more real.
My biggest concerns are how real the story feels. I want the reader to feel like they can step into the world I built and experience it firsthand. I need honest reviews for how consistent the characters are throughout the book without being repetitive. I want the characters to feel like the readers met them personally and could relate to them as people.
