It is very enemies to lovers, i wouldn’t call it much of a slow burn and they do argue a lot ! But I loved there relationship in the first and second book, but the third book she does talk about his eye colour like every few pages, which was kind of annoying lol but the storyline is very good!

the romance in the first book is pretty good but as the series goes on (especially in Onyx Storm) it just starts getting repetitive, it's actually one of the reasons why I hated Onyx Storm is cause it felt like I was reading the same 100 pages over and over. Also they have an unhealthy obsession with braking everything they fuck on... you have been warned...
At first I wasn't super into it but espically in the 2nd and 3rd book I started to really like it :D The main thing I love about it, is its the "Touch her and I kill you" trope but also Xaden knows that Violet can take care of herself so its more of "Touch her and she'll kill you, and then I'll be at you up" and I love it so much :DDDDd
It's good in fourth wing, but mind numbingly boring in the second and third books. there's no novelty left in their relationship once they get together, there's just hurdles to them being able to exist peacefully together lol.
Honestly it depends on the book, not amazing in my opinion but my house my chair my woman will always be iconic lol

I started reading it once but couldn’t even get through the first chapter because the writing was so atrocious. idk about the romance the reviews I’ve seen are mixed
I don’t mind tension or some attraction early on but if it’s just them instantly thirsting for each other in every scene?? Yeah NO. I’m not here for that. I want that slow-burn, tension-so-thick-you-could-slice-it-with-a-knife kinda romance. Not just “ooh he’s hot” every few pages (not even after the confession/kiss).
