Over the past few years, I've gotten way more into reading. And I loved how the Kobo e-reader really solidified that habit. It helped me to become "a person that reads". I feel like it's increasingly important in a world that's trapped in a SEO/AI-slop generated world. To retain the ability to read long-form.
To get more out of my reading experience, I started hacking on my own Kobo to read articles from blogs, reddit, add screen avers, AI integrations, read any file and many more cool things :D But I've recently read thta pocket is closing shop so I transformed this into a tool so others can easily read web-content as well: The Kobuddy companion app: https://kobuddy.app.
Kobuddy can help you to; - Sync web articles/rss feeds to your Kobo device - Sync highlights from your device back to the app - Capture articles with the chrome extension to read later
Feedback is always welcome! Try Kobuddy, see how it works and let me know what you think! :)
