Karin | 38 comments What a great thread! This year I've been working on being thankful because we don't realize just how good we have it; 3/4 of the world doesn't have running water, regular electricity, etc. Some days I just remember to be thankful for a house, heat/air conditioning, running water and I actually mean it.

I'm also working to think of noticing what God is doing on a daily basis as well as praising from scripture by spending part of my daily prayer time in Psalms (got that idea from a book!) I read things from various theological backgrounds, and this is an excellent book to get us thinking about how we pray (not that we should make it a religious thing we have to do all the time--legalism doesn't help!) The Hour That Changes the World: A Practical Plan for Personal Prayer by Dick Eastman

It's from the late 1970s, but is still relevant :)

How wonderful that your family is patient; I'm guessing supportive as well.

ProseAndPetals | 181 comments I was really worried about my hours at work. I had to changed my availability that works with my schedule because my sister needed my family, and wasn't getting hours. I changed it back now that she is doing better, but someone took my place. I was freaking out about not getting money because I want a car, but I just saw someone put up their shift. I am really thankful God answered my prayers.
