Play Book Tag discussion

The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters is told through the eyes of two people. There is Joe, whose family are indigenous people of New Brunswick, Canada. Each season, the family travels to Maine to pick blueberries. One day, when Joe is supposed to be watching his 4-year-old sister, Ruthie, she goes missing. Then there is Norma. She lives in a well-to-do family in Maine. She believes she was adopted after her mother suffered numerous miscarriages. Joe feels guilty for losing his sister but believes she is still alive. Norma feels there is something about her past that her parents are keeping hidden from her. As both Joe and Norma become adults, their pasts continue to haunt them.
