Start with you, not your child.
I used to wonder: How can I get my child to read more?
But over time, I learned something simple and powerful:
Don’t begin by changing your child — begin by changing yourself.
I started reading every night for myself. No pressure, no agenda. I just let my child see it. Quietly. Repeatedly.
After a while, he began to crawl next to me with a book of his own. Not because I told him to — but because he saw me doing it.
🧡 Sometimes, reading isn’t taught. It’s caught.
If you’ve tried many ways to get your child into books, maybe try this:
👉 Let them watch you fall in love with reading first.
