Thanks for reaching out Anna!
For anyone who wants to check out what I am doing, Anna's book, Murder at Maplewood Manor, will be read live on stream in a couple of weeks youtube.com/@sirarminius. Of course it will probably take a couple of weeks because I won't get it all in one session but I'm hoping this can help us grow together!
I'll update here again before I start reading for anyone who would like to drop by.

Hey Tim,
As a fellow VA and author, I am very interested in this. Honestly, I've never thought of doing something like this! Some great outside the box thinking.
I've recently released an epic grimdark fantasy book: Gyfted. If you're into fantasy and morally-grey protagonists then feel free to reach out to me. I'd love to send you a copy of the book for your streams!
Best,
D. W. Lewis
Starting Tuesday I'll be reading The Edge of Control https://a.co/d/0k2OAoU.My live readings are completely free for authors. I highlight purchase links and give you extra visibility while introducing your work to new readers.
Think of it like a no-cost spotlight — your book, my narration, and an audience ready to discover new stories.
All I ask is permission to read your work live — everything else is on me.
Looking forward to showcasing more authors!

Hi Tim,
I saw your post in the "Goodreads Authors/Readers" group, and I was incredibly intrigued by your offer. It's a fantastic and generous way to support the author community.
My name is Soren K. Blackwood, and I'm the author of a debut sci-fi novella, The Sentinel Project. It's a high-concept thriller that explores the idea that our most ancient myths are the misunderstood user manuals for a lost global science. After listening to some of your work on your YouTube channel, I believe your voice and narrative style would be a perfect fit for the story.
I would be absolutely thrilled for you to read The Sentinel Project on your stream.
To make sure we're both protected and on the same page, I just want to confirm a simple, friendly agreement:
You would have my full, non-exclusive permission to read the book on your stream and post the recordings.
In all streams and video descriptions, you would clearly credit me as the author and provide a link to the book on Amazon.
I, as the author, would retain all copyrights to the story itself and would be free to produce an official audiobook in the future.
If that sounds good to you, please feel free to email me at contact@sorenkblackwood.com, and I would be happy to send you a complimentary e-copy of the book immediately.
Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.
Warmly,
Soren

Hi Soren,
I will reply in an email as well but I want to make sure to give everyone who may be interested some piece of mind so will put some info here too.
I do document the permission to read the book and post recordings in the event that YouTube ever asks for it.
The recordings would reference you as the author and, in fact, the videos use an image of the cover of the book so at all times people know what book I am reading and by whom. The descriptions also reference the author and where you can get the book (see this example from my latest read https://youtu.be/8lPo-wCqaaw).
You retain all copyrights and, if there was ever a reason to do so, such as an official audiobook, I would take down the recordings if requested. The purpose is to spread awareness, never to take away from your rights or ability to profit from your hard work!
As an audiobook narrator myself, I also want to make sure that an official narration later on rewards the hard work of whichever voiceover artist may do the work.
This is, of course, my way of giving back to the community and helping everyone grow together!
I did want to mention as well that these are great points/questions you raise and I hope this helps to give some clarity and peace of mind to you and anyone else considering having me read their work.
Thank you for reaching out and I look forward to working with you to showcase your novella in an upcoming stream!
Tim

Hi Tim,
I would be interested.
Once Upon a Time in Detroit

I'm a voice-over artist who has been doing a live reading stream on Twitch and YouTube for about a 1 1/2 years. I'm looking for writers who would like their books read live on stream, for free of course. Its something that helps me practice my craft while hopefully increasing awareness of the book and authors.
If you are interested in having me read your work on stream, please feel free to reach out to me! I will typically record the live read and post the chapters on my YouTube channel (SirArminius) but if you preferred that I did not, we can certainly talk about it.
Thanks all!
