Tr1sha | 370 comments Our September theme is an easy one - enjoy!

1 Read a short story that you can finish in one day
2 Read a book that you have had on your list for a long time

Tr1sha | 370 comments Tr1sha’s Read a Book Day

Books read:
1/1

1: The Long Run, Edith Wharton, 9/28/25, 2*

A short story, but I found it quite boring. Perhaps because it was short the characters didn’t develop. I was pleased to finish it as I didn’t care what happened to them.

Lynn (lynnsreads) | 178 comments I am late posting. I had carpal tunnel surgery Sept 29th. I was "resting" my hands as much as possible and staying away from typing. I read the following things in September. I think it covers the challenge.

1. Short Story Regret by Kate Chopin (1897) September 15, 2025 5*
2. Book Reflections on the Psalms by C.S. Lewis (1958) September 28, 2025 5*

Welcome back, Lynn. I hope you found lots of good books to read while you were recovering & that you continue to heal. Don’t do too much at once! Thanks for the reminder about Kate Chopin, I usually enjoy her short stories.

Lynn (lynnsreads) | 178 comments Thank you Trisha. Nice to be back. I also read a fun, cozy mystery Death of a Cad from the Haimish Macbeth series. These books were published in the 1980s so they're not quite old enough for this group..
