There are a couple of titles I'm interested in.

I have to catch up on the Sam Shepherd series before I can read Prey.
Likewise I would need to read earlier books in the Cesare Aldo series before reading A Divine Fury
I've heard good things about Charity Norman
& A Fly Under the radar by debut author William McCartney sounds good.

Lesley | 1595 comments I've read a couple of Charity Norman's books - Remember Me and The Secret Life of Luke Livingstone
I enjoyed both of them.

Besides hers, there's a few others I've reserved at the library.

Were the winners amongst the ones you have reserved Lesley?

Do I want to read more about the Crewe murders? Hmmm.

I had already read The Crewe Murders last year. Probably the first half of the book goes over what we already know. There's follow up on a couple or so aspects that they have researched and offered commentary on, but, do you learn anything more? No, not really, and nothing that gives you pause to rethink either.
It is a bit like The Team That Hit the Rocks: The Inside Story of the Wahine Disaster / Peter Jerram. Same story we all know and experienced on the day, but from a different aspect. The author wa son the ship so it is his viewpoint.

I've not read The Defiance of Frances Dickinson / Wendy Parkins, but my library does finally have in their collection! I think it will be a "mood" read for me so I might give it a look later in the year.

The only one I have requested is Return to Blood / Michael Bennett. This is the second book in the Hana Westerman series, a Maori female detective, and was quite a good NZ yarn. There is quite a waiting list for the book so I'm not expecting to see it for probably another month!
There is a third in the series published - Carved in Blood which is on the shelf, but being OCD about reading a series in order ...

Hmmm, I think I am most likely to get to the Sam Shepherd book(s) Its a bummer that my reading speeds has slowed down so much.
