The Iron Tangle. An impossibly-complicated subway system built out of the world's subterranean railway systems, all combined and then tied together into a knot. Up is down. Down is up. Close is far. The cars are filled with monsters, the railway stations are less than safe, and the exit is always just a few stops away.

But there is hope. For the first time, the crawlers are all working together. The loot is better than ever. And the secret to unraveling it all may be hidden in the pages of a seemingly-useless book. Welcome, crawlers. Welcome to the fourth floor of the dungeon.

Up to chapter 2

Donut trying to force Mohawks on people. I get that Katia can shapeshift and that Donut is really hung up on making them have like a thing, but i feel bad that Katia doesn't know how to *be yourself*, are we going to get more of her background? (hide spoiler)]

I'm reading on Kindle, so no experience with Audible. I think I just wouldn't concentrate.

(view spoiler)[The Iron Tangle is something different entirely. And I must say: it's an interesting concept. The main question is: how will they get to the stairwells? They're now in station 83 and need to go back. It does remind me of the subways where I live and those in London. The line on the map kept spiralling while I'll tried to make sense of it. Now, I understand why one of the last sentences in book 2 was: 'Mind the gap, please'. I already had the feeling that it would be something like this. I still don't trust Katia, though, she seems weak and insecure. It's sad that Brandon died. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 22;

also FUCK YOU BEATRICE! wants to just throw Donut away for a new kitten. wonder if Donut knows this or overheard Beatrice say to at some point?

I already felt bad for the "NPCs" but know they're 'waking' up a bit and I want to see if Carl can get some to help him or even get insider info for them. (hide spoiler)]

I've only been on one subway once, in Washington DC and i rode it from one stop to the next just to "experience" it as there are none near me in the Midwest. i gave up trying to map it out and just went with the flow.

I'm up to chapter 8. (I think)
(view spoiler)[Their adventures gets more depth in it, I think. There's the threat of Donut getting 'cat-napped' for Team Helka, Chris that is on a murdering spree and the bounty hunting. Poor Donut! She was beyond herself in the Desperado Club when another crawler tried to kill her. The dissapearance of Mordecai was intentional. Otherwise, Carl wouldn't receive his 'cookbook'. The main question is: who's behind it? And are they able untangle the Iron Tangle? Where can they return to get to the stairwells? And Elle Mcgibbons returns! I love her ice character. It's really something for her. (hide spoiler)]

Quick update on chapter 18:
(view spoiler)[Donut received a PVP Coupon and Katia saw her hiding it away. So, Donut doesn't want to kill Carl, obviously, but why didn't she destroyed it and hide it under the tracks instead? (hide spoiler)]

I've finished the chapter and(view spoiler)[it was mentioned that you couldn't burn them. So, maybe that's why she hid the coupon. So, on one side it makes sense, but Donut could've kept it in her inventory. Strange that she didn't get rid off the one for Katia. She likes her, sou you would've assumed that.<:spoiler> (hide spoiler)]

I totally agree! (view spoiler)[Donut was so fond of Bea and all Bea wanted to do, was sell her, like she was some second handed thing that was beyond her good years and get some new kitties. People like that shouldn't have pets at all. Also, that guy with his wings ('Ch' and something) messes up the whole Iron Tangle with derailing all the trains. Now it seems that the mobs are just wandering in the tunnels. Yes, the NPC's are drugged and the 'storie's' messed up their minds, but if they are beginning to come by, what will happen then? yah if she just wants to show cats, then be a handler, don't have them as your personal pet if you're just going to off load them once they're over their 'use'

Good graciousness! I now have finished the second book & is now ready to read this :DD This series is extremely good and a fun read and i hope the third one also is the same.

Trueeeee, there are so many plots happeneng and its great thta even then, there's still progress on every single one and doesn't become overwhelming

Yeppppp its great that the title itself is an interactable object and its actually a little bit important to the story so.. that's a unique idea to refencing the title of a bookkk

Maybe it'd be of use in the future? Or maybe for like a trade orr to sell that coupon for currency, jus keeping it in their inventory is a viable option too since it MAY have a use in the future, but i think it would take too much space or smth,.........yeah idk its pretty confusing why she just hid it too and nt just put in their inventory 😭😭😭

(view spoiler)[wooooo and i think that this is the best part in the climax of the story because all betreyals just massively exploded in thes very intense scenery at the train :OOOOO, Hekla, Silfa & Katia exposed some very dark secrets and after those, Carl got a pretty cool weaponnn 😎, but Hekla's death wass pretty weird tho, like she's one of the best crawlers out there but she just died like that so easily? I know it was a surpris attack but is it REALLLLY that quick? (hide spoiler)]

Up to chapter 30. I've got a feeling that there's a big finale coming up. The Iron Tangle got my brains into a tangle trying to understand it.
(view spoiler)[Donut's reaction on the attempt of Hekla for trying to kill Katia was epic! She did a total 180 degrees on liking Hekla before. Also, I knew something was brewing with Hekla: when she said that they would use Katia to put on the front of the train, Katia almost threw up and got white in the face. Later Katia said it was all her idea, but I'm pretty sure that wasn't right. She belongs to the Royal Court of Princess Donut and will fit perfectly in it. I admire Carl for being so inventive (even without Mordecai) and trying to save as many crawlers as possible. (hide spoiler)]

Yes, indeed, I had to read that twice about the NPC's. That was really brave of them.

I've finished the book. Final thoughts:
(view spoiler)[Well, if Carl blows up things, it doesn't go well sometimes. Entering his fall through the portal with the mantaur. I just knew something like that would happen. I hoped for an epic battle, but seeing the level of Grull, well that wasn't possible. But there came Donut, Katya and a lot of other crawlers to Carl's rescue. That felt good after his big efforts to rescue other crawlers. It seems with Loita instead of Zev, that Carl, Donut and Katya and even Odette are on a leash? The politics are never too far away. And what is it about Agatha? She survived being only level 8? Why did Cark shush Katya quiet when she was about to aska bout that? (hide spoiler)]

it is a bit sad that there wasnt a final battle like you'd hope for but i think that the entire journey was pretty great! maybe the fourth book would have a cool epic battle at the end,.
