ᴋʀɪꜱʜᴀ ˚˖𓍢ִִ໋🌊🦈˚˖𓍢ִ✧˚. | 81 comments i just turned 12 a week ago. i’ve been starting to get a bit of acne and stuff and want to get some skincare to fix (not like a sephora kid but to feel more confident). i’ve always thought acne was beautiful but after getting it (btw i get fungal acne not the normal one) i’ve been trying to get rid of mine. i still think it is. the thing is all i have is lotion, water and sunscreen. the closet sephora or mecca is an hr away. i’m in aus so i have stuff like kmart, big w, chemist warehouse and priceline but even so my parents prolly wouldn’t let me get it. i once asked if i could make some products with stuff at home and they said no. i really don’t know what to do.

i also have been ruining my hair since birth, i’ve been caring it now but i have seen no improvements

Benji | 183 comments Go to a plant store: Stock up on aloe vera plants.
In the long run you'll save money than buying store bought products with aloe vera as an ingredient. The Egyptian temptress: Cleopatra used this as a beauty tool, also helps with minor cuts.

Studies link high-fat junk food (fast food, processed meat, chips) and high-glycemic carbs with worse acne. In contrast oily fish actually helps. Swap deep-fried snacks for baked versions; add salmon or sardines twice a week (omega-3s tame inflammation). Costs less than take-out.

Food is only one acne trigger; hormones & genetics matter more. Don’t demonize healthy fats (avocado, nuts, olive oil).
Choose an alcohol-free witch-hazel (store-brand ≈ $4). Saturate a cotton pad, swipe once nightly after a gentle water rinse, let dry, then layer the fresh aloe gel as a calming humectant followed by a light layer of vaseline.

Witch hazel is a natural astringent with tannins that can reduce surface oil & inflammation—but in some people the alcohol or tannins cause dryness or stinging. Evidence is mixed.
Growing up we used rubbing alcohol every other night. So our skin didn’t dry out too harshly.

Skin-soothing routine with garden aloe, freezer ice, drug-store witch hazel, and smart eating:
After a shower/ bath or bowl of heated water to open up your pores.
Night: Rinse → alcohol-free witch hazel swipe → fresh aloe → petrolatum on dry areas (Non-acne areas.) Ice locks up your pores quick 60sec face glide. Top to bottom, side to side, find your flow and watch your acne disappear.

Morning: Quick warm water splash → aloe as light hydrator → cheap mineral sunscreen sample if outside.

(1-3x) Weekly: Oatmeal mini-scrub (W/lukewarm water or plain yogurt & honey) or Aztec Clay + ice roll for de-puff & face tightness.
Products:
Aloe Vera Plant (A Plant store) You can buy the gel online but I consider it overpriced.
Witch Hazel (Amazon cheap version)
Vasaline:
Omega 3’s (Amazon: Arazo Nutrition / Fish Oil. Best bang for your buck.)
Oatmeal (Cheaper option: 10m) or Aztec clay (10-20m)
This should help.

Yk what helps with fungal? Anti-dandruff shampoo (heads and shoulders works wonders) , ALSO please don’t use toothpaste unless it is herbal has no cooling stuff in it because otherwise you risk ruining and possibly permanently damaging your skin barrier

Kimberley Morris | 4 comments Washing your face in the morning and evening, try and find a skincare plan that works for you and your skin, doesn’t have to be major, for example, I just use simple moisturiser and facial wash and that’s enough for my skin
