Last year, the pilot script for my dark sci-fi series The Andgate won an award at the Atlanta Film Festival. Since then, I’ve transformed that story into a novel (now available on Amazon), and I’d love to share it with readers open to giving some honest feedback.

I’m offering ARCs to readers who enjoy dark science fiction with emotional depth, high stakes, mystery, a thread of romance woven through the story, and a story told entirely from the villain’s point of view.

I wrote a superhero bisexual romance with Gotham grit and white-hot sensuality, featuring a femdom edge. In my superhero sequel, Deus Ex Umbra, the stakes are high, but it ends in a hard-won HEA. You might be a fit for ARC reading my genre-masher of a book.

I would send out ARCs via Bookfunnel on October 14 and would appreciate reviews posted on/before November 14 on your preferred review sites. Although it is a sequel, I think it can be enjoyed without having to read the previous book–in the same way you could watch a superhero movie without all the previous ones or join a second season of a television show without watching the first.

It’s sort of a pirate story. If you enjoyed The Queens Thief series by Meghan Whalen Turner, or the Brotherband Chronicles by John Flannigan, or even Isles of the Emberdark by Branden Sanderson, you’ll probably like this.

It’s a story about dealing with one’s past and the baggage of parents, and about self-discovery. It features an intricate ecosystem of fantastic creatures, all inspired by real ones, and a fascinating history filled with quotes from in-world texts to open each chapter, and a detailed map I made in an illustrator.
