Probably going to be a bit late here since I'm rereading from #1 this month. :) Really enjoying having them all at once though.

I'm still working on this one and it really feels like the stakes are being raised in this book. It is more intense feeling than earlier floors.

Great buildup in the first few chapters.

If you think this is intense... Next book is floor 9... THE floor

Damn but I'm looking forward to getting there. My memory of book 7 is a blur. I'm up to book 5 now in my 2nd reread, and by eye--these are as good by eye as by ear... I actually ditched the audio (sacrilege, I know) and am reading almost pure eye--but thanks to two read-throughs by audio my brain is doing a proper Jeff Hays impression throughout and I'm loving it... I'm catching SO MUCH MORE than I did just on audio, or even audio+eye... I remember Ann-Marie saying she wanted to get to the point where she'd be able to recall every detail, like how that one guy was the person mentioned by that drunk dude on floor 1 and is now popping up in floor five, etc. I feel like I'm well on the way to that goal...
