2017 Reading Challenge discussion

This is on my list. Has anyone read this yet?

I've read it and rated it 4 stars (really liked it). It took me a while to "bond" with it as there are lot of characters and the beginning of a complicated mystery right at the start, but once I got into it I found it very absorbing.

I read it a few weeks before I started the challenge (but still in 2015) and have been thinking I will count it as my "author under 30" if I don't find another one that appeals to me.

The astrological cycle which is the underlying structure of the book didn't grab me, and so I'm sure I missed a lot of the finer points, connections and symbolism. But that didn't detract from my involvement with the story.

Thanks for commenting. I really hadn't heard much about this book so I think I will go ahead and take a stab at it.
