He keeps doing this thing where I’ll say I love him or ask him how he’s doing or we’ll be talking about something and then he’ll just leave on read for up to days at a time. Every time, hes still active in the group chats, but chooses not to respond to me. Most of the time he’s talking about how much he lives his other boyfriend.. his irl boyfriend. I’ve communicated this tk him multiple times but he hasn’t done anything. I told him I felt like a side chick and he ignored it.

That's not cool at all- if he's not gonna listen to you then tell him if he doesn't try to change his behavior, then the relationship isn't going to work out. You've done your best on your part; now it's his turn. If he doesn't change, then you should probably break up with him.

You don't need anyone to be happy Kipp, loving yourself is good enough. You'll find the right person soon, if he's not willing to try and mend the relationship he's not the one. You shouldn't waste your love on him. Your love is for you and you alone, and eventually someone will prove themself to be deserving of that love.

It’s just like a little affirmation that maybe Im not too big and I can actually want to be loved and that im not just the second choice that no one wants but then again it keeps happening like this and the only common denominator is me so clearly Im doing something wrong

Everyone has flaws dad. Perfect was the wrong word, I'm sorry. Nobody is perfect. We're humans with flaws. But you just proved that your a good person by owning up to your flaws. Sure it'll take time to forgive all those people but that's okay, you don't have to forget everything nor forgive. Just understanding that your mad and hurt because of those people is enough. You are enough.
