I’m looking for thoughtful Christian beta readers to give feedback on my memoir, CYCLES: A Testimony of Doubt and Faith.
This is a raw, personal story of brokenness, redemption, and God’s patience. In 2005, I suffered a catastrophic cycling accident that left me with a traumatic brain injury, broken ribs, and months of confusion and pain. But that accident wasn’t the beginning of my collapse—it was the breaking point after years of selfishness, failed marriage, estrangement from church, and running from God.
The book follows my journey:
From a man hardened by ego, lust, and success-worship…
To lying face-down on the floor, whispering Jesus’ name in the dark…
To be rebuilt by God’s grace, learning what it means to live forgiven, to serve, and to find new purpose.
My goal in sharing this testimony isn’t just to tell “my story,” but to offer hope for anyone who feels too far gone to be reached. I’d love honest, constructive feedback on both the writing (clarity, pacing, repetition, structure) and the spiritual impact (does the message of grace come through?).
The manuscript is about 26k words, written in a candid, conversational style with plenty of Scripture woven in. I’m especially hoping to connect with readers who enjoy Christian memoirs, testimonies, or story-driven devotionals.
If you’re willing to walk with me through this draft and give feedback, I’d be so grateful.
