Nikki and her team are dispatched to the Boundary Waters in Superior National Park to a potential Frost crime scene. They’re almost certain this is Frost’s work and then Nikki recognizes the woman as her childhood friend, Annmarie Mason. In that moment, did you think this was now personal or a coincidence? Should Nikki have stepped back and let Liam take the lead?

Robin (robinmy) | 2466 comments I was sure it was personal. Nikki is known for being the agent that is working the Frost case. Frost himself would have seen the news coverage and knew about Nikki. I figured that he would have done some digging on his own to see who was trying to catch him. He would look into her background and find info about family and friends. Killing her friend would definitely send her a message.

Moondance (moondance120) | 30 comments I knew it was personal now. I became concerned about her family and friends. I think Nikki was the best person to work on the investigation because of her knowledge of Frost.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3501 comments I didn't think it was personal at first. I wondered if they were going down the "could be Frost" road again, but that was put to bed quickly. It had been so many years since Nikki had last spoken with Annmarie; I didn't think she needed to step back. I was on the fence about the victim being personal or a coincidence, but I knew it was bait for Nikki to step in.
