there’s a book that i saw a snippet of on tiktok but i can’t remember the name. the snippet showed the fmc saying something along the lines of “should i go back to being scared of you?” or something like that and the ex-con mmc tells the fmc she makes him feel like he's in prison again so she slams the door in his ‘mean’ face. i think it was also some kind of work place romance? i’m not sure

i don't know the book but i always use reddit for these type of questions. the subreddit r/RomanceBooks literally has a category called WWTBC (what was that book called), where you can say what you remember about the book and people always find the one you're looking for. hope it helps :)
