Chris Holcom | 2 comments Greetings and Felicitations! This is my first time posting on this group. 363 days ago I faced one of the biggest challenges of my life. It has irrevocably altered my perception of the world around me as well as my place in it, thus I have ramped up my studies of the arcane and esoteric. I'm an academic at heart, but I've started to segue into practice. Early last year, I began researching and compiling a list of books and texts. I started with Dr. Justin Sledge's recommended reading list and have been building out from there. Alchemy has been my primary focus, but I'm slowly broadeneing my interests. I've bought and read works by Hanegraaff, Manly Hall, Jung, Hauck, and just got my first book by Mitch Horowitz. I'm purchasing a couple of volumes on Hermeticism and the writings of Agrippa and Paracelsus. Now, I turn to you and ask: what books have been seminal in your studies?

Please and Thank You in advance!

Etu Malku | 1 comments Hi Chris,
I'm Etu Malku, an author of occult books. I'm 65 and have been a practicing occultist since 1969.

You seem to be leaning towards Hermeticism. I would suggest looking at Golden Dawn books, particularly Israel Regardie, Aleister Crowley, and Tobias Churton.

As for Alchemy; Khalid ibn Yazid & Jabir ibn Hayyan. I lean towards the old Arabic masters.

Feel free to check my books out, they may not be what you're looking for, as they all come from a Western Left Hand Path lens.
