Integrating education on Islamic cultures into the curriculum is far more effective than focusing on restorative justice after incidents occur.

After 9/11 I really hate the idea of waiting a whole decade later to help people shift their mindset about Muslims. In my middle school and high school I remember hearing "happy 9/11" or "its bomb day" and it make me physically ill and so upset. So just going off of that its a bad idea and it will spark more negative things happening.

If we integrate Islam into our curriculums than the people who are Muslims will see themselves represented, I want to express one thing is that the curriculum needs to start in elementary school and then middle school and high school to avoid any sort of misinformation.

personally, i feel like hate comes from being uneducated. teach kids about islam, and all religions for that matter. dont try to convert them, but teach basic principles and values of each of them, we should all try to understand each other, and teaching kids about other people is the best way to do that.

I agree with you. Looking back on what I said, I take some of it back. I'm sorry.

On the same idea it would be a good idea to hold an all school assembly for all religions.

exactly! but also, it isn't really that simple. in 6th and 7th grade (actually, im not saying this to be brainrot 😭) we learned about the world religions that emerged at the time periods we were studying, so we did cover islam. and even though it was a perfect curriculum (literally, it covered almost every question you could think of and more, seriously) kids didn't actually take that much away from it, they were just like "why does that teacher love muslims so much". which is kinda insensitive because all she did was teach us about the religion and very basic middle eastern history. so maybe these lessons should be incorporated over multiple years, starting in like 4th or 5th grade, before kids are exposed to stereotypes and such
