JennH | 1263 comments Hi Aved! It's never too late! Looks like you're crushing your goal. You're almost there! I hope you are enjoying your reading journey.

You have some great books on your list. The Finlay Donovan series is such a fun read. I've been working on The Trials of Apollo series and am up to The Tower of Nero. I was laughing out loud within the first pages of Book Lovers over the book tropes. And The House in the Cerulean Sea is such a heartwarming book. I hope you enjoyed them all, too.

Aved | 15 comments Hey Jenn, thanks for the encouragement! I have really enjoyed almost all the books listed. I am glad to hear you enjoyed the same books as I did, it is always nice to fellow fan.

I liked the Trials of Apollo series, I think the themes were slightly darker than his previous works which was interesting as his audience is primarily YA.

I have tried to explore some books out of my comfort genres, but I am definitely guilty of sticking to the tried and tested! I hope to expand my genres somewhat through this challenge as well.

Yeah, Trials of Apollo was a bit more mature. I just took it as it is appealing to the audience who first read Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

Makes sense. I was drawn to Rick's other works primarily because of this as well haha. I am glad you enjoyed it! :)
