audiobooks only if the wait is shorter and if i can speed them up to 3x. otherwise physical/ebooks! :3
Hhhmmm I cannot pick either. Commuting, chores, cooking (anything hands free) are for audiobooks. Relaxing is for paper books.
Good audiobooks can be dangerous for me where it takes my attention away too much. 😅 Mostly because my brain is playing it like a movie in my head. I do not think this is normal…? So I’ve cut myself while cooking and even more dangerous while commuting, losing focus on where I am going. I cannot really do that while reading a physical book. Not gonna walk and read, to jarring. So my brain can take off in peace, reading that way.
*For those who cannot focus while listening to audiobooks, have you tried occupying your hands, or eyes, or both while you listen? Or can you only focus on one thing at a time? Example: Listening while coloring/drawing. Listening while playing a video game. Listening while following along with the physical book. Certain crafts. Doing something mindless while you listen? Just curious.
