Brooooooo middle school sucks like hygiene is non existent, every boy looks like this: 🐀🐀🐀, and the teachers are jerks. Who relates?

the teachers definitely are jerks
some are amazing, others ruin your year
and also is it just me or does anyone else spend their time scrutinizing the social hierarchy of their school?

Honestly freshman year was so bad for me I begged my parents to homeschool me and OMG I LOVE IT!! So just so you know, if your school sucks, there’s always other options💗

Yess I'm homeschooled and it's awesome ✨ I honestly hate being home all the time though (I need a break from my family 😭) so I'm going back to public next year

8th grade was such a peak year and then everything went downhill from there cus girls hate on you for not fitting into their stupid tiny boxes and not being “cool”. So now i’m taking at home college classes as a junior. Homeschooling changed EVERYTHING

in all honesty i almost didnt survive middleschool. i did realize that there is a time when it gets better tho. even if its small baby steps.

My parents wanna send me to public school because I'm failing at being homeschooled, barely get my work finished, and never have energy or the ability to focus. I literally don't think I'm going to survive 8th grade public school or not but if I go to public I think my depression is going to get 20x worse and I'm going to fail everything because my ADHD medicine still isn't working and I can never focus and I'm constantly tired and I have breakdowns regularly and can't even get anything done in the 'comfort' of my house.

My mom said she literally doesn't even care if I do well in public school she's just sick of dealing with my shit 😀

if you go to public school next year, all you need to do well (in terms of grades) is good time management. my time management is really shitty so i always end up doing my homework literally last minute (literally), so if you can manage your time well then you can get rid of a lot of the stress. there is also lots of stuff with tests, but lowkey if your homework and quizzes are on top of it then you don't need to stress as much about tests, even if a lot of other people do because they do keep your grade afloat more than you would think.

for depression and stuff, just try to find a community at school. if you can't make any meaningful friends in the first few days, there are always clubs like queer club and stuff where you can find your people. if you have friends who love you and and who you can lean on, everything will be a hundred times easier. my one tip is to ignore the "popular" kids bc they're toxic af. but trust me, your friends will be the ones who'll let you breathe.

also, if you feel your depression and adhd are really making it hard for you, you can always talk about it with your teachers or principal. especially since you have a professional diagnosis.

Okay so this is super real dude.
I agree with what Sai said.
But also, in terms of homework, and time management, i have some tips.
For homework: every problom you do or question you answer you give yourself a chocolate chip. Every book page you read you get up and wiggle all the feelings out.
And take breaks with homework. Take a minute to play a song and wiggle, drink water, and eat something like mango slices or whatever else u eat. (or cheese).
Time management:
HAVE A LIST. HAVE A SET LIST OF THINGS TO DO. And every time you complete a task, (item of homework or something) instead of a check box you have a small area to draw something in, and colour it once you've finished said task.

bro my freshman year sucked, my friend kicked me out of their group and that caused some really bad mental problems for me (cause i've known them since 6th grade AND they were one of my first real friends). but i've kinda learned to deal with it, tbh idk how but at least sophomore year is going a bit better

that sounds terrible, i'm sorry you had to go through that <3 my friend from sixth grade ditched us after like a year of being really close friends with us, she literally straight up said she didn't want to be in our group chat so i kinda know what it feels like. that friend sounds like an ahole, i'm glad this year's going better for you <3
