Not really anything “spoiler” happening yet but ill use the spoilers anyways. This is an interesting introductory since it sort of goes over some things that happened over the years with Jean Louise and her family. I felt like her brother’s death were thrown in there but i was kinda shocked. But its an interesting intro sl far (hide spoiler)]

Made it to chapter 3 and stopped there. I didn’t read the synopsis so I don’t know what to expect but I think it’ll be good

I know this is a different book I’m finally done reading my current one.

I didn't read the synopsis either but i wanted to read it since i didn't realize that the original book had a sequel

Chapter 2

I wonder why jean louise doesn't want to marry harry. I am liking to see this interaction with her family and im curious to see where the story goes. I feel like this chapter mostly was an introduction or reintroduction to her family. We already know her dad from the first one and now we're getting to know her aunt. I guess we'll see what happens next (hide spoiler)]

Learning about Alexandra was interesting. I found it interesting how she told Jean Louise that she shouldn’t marry henry even though he seems like a nice guy who cares about jean louise. Not sure what she has against him except thinking he’s too poor. She was going on about him being trash but the finch family grew up humbly too if i remmeber right. Anyways so far so good we’ll see what comes next. (hide spoiler)]

I feel like we need more context to fully understand hank and jean’s relationship. Its clear that he likes her and she seems to somewhat like him but its not clear if she only sees him as a friend. It does seem like she would be ok with something more but i wonder if that was the case why doesnt she agree to marry him? it makes me curious if theres more that we dont know yet (hide spoiler)]
