I just picked this one up to read today. Already got distracted and came to Goodreads to find one of the quoted books - Problems by Jade Sharma. Hahaha

(view spoiler)[ well, I can see why the older sisters are mad at mom. she cleaned up her behavior in her book but she really does seem to be drinking a lot and acting erratically enough to scare the kids.

I like how this feels really spooky. Her being there now as an adult and also going through her memories to compare them to her mom's is interesting. I like that she just has vague shape of memories but not clear ones like the book describes. It's hard to know who to believe.

and I'm not sure how to feel about the dad. he seems like he exploited a terrible situation so I'm not loving him yet. The dance teacher? lol really?

and 2 uncle and nephew breaking it? that was terrible. I can't believe she wasn't more spooked by that. . . (hide spoiler)]
