The Debate Club discussion

Hello everyone! I'm the creator and current head moderator of The Debate Club. I'm a homeschooled teen with dreams of being a poultry veterinarian, author, photographer, mental health and LGBTQ+ rights advocate, and lots of other things. I enjoy listening to music, debating, and learning!

I use they/them and she/her pronouns for myself. I don't align with any religion and identify as an agnostic atheist. I'm left-center on the political spectrum, but neutral on some controversial topics.

Feel free to ask me questions about my political and religious opinions, and anything else about my life!

What is an agnostic athiest?

Atheist: Someone who does not believe in the existence of any god/higher power/spiritual being

Agnostic: Someone who doesn't assign themselves to any religion but may be uncertain/questioning whether a god/higher power/etc exists.

Atheists are often seen as very strong in their beliefs and not open to the possibility of a god/etc existing. Agnostics are often seen as just "on the fence" about religion, like they just don't want to accept it or something.

I personally am kind of in the middle. I argue against the existence of any god or higher power existing, and I don't believe any popular modern religions are "true" (though I respect them), but at the same time I am open to the possibility of a god of some sort existing if I am given a solid argument for it and I'm currently exploring some spiritual beliefs.

So, since I don't really feel fully agnostic or fully atheistic, I identify myself with both. Hope this makes sense :)

I don't. I understand that I am one person. But I prefer to use neutral pronouns for myself (they/them) because I don't feel entirely like a girl a lot of the time, and I'm more comfortable that way. They/them pronouns are grammatically correct for a singular person and we all use them daily without even realizing it. We have a debate about that if you'd like to go over there.

What does agender mean

agender is a term in the nonbinary spectrum meaning that i do not identify with any gender, i kinda just am a person and dont fit in any social gender construct
