Everything looks a bit tired, the book selection isn’t great, and it just isn’t a nice place to be. There’s nothing I’d love more than a thriving, bright, welcoming library with plenty of choice to spend my time in again… a gal can dream ☁️📚 …or up sticks and move again 😆
I am very fortunate to be in an area of terrific libraries. I live near the border of two counties, so my library choices have doubled. Soon my daughter and I will be moving and there is this house that's a bit out of my price range but with a bigger down-payment it's do-able. It's right next door to a library. My neighbor would be a LIBRARY!!! And my thought train is off to another station....

Why can I so easily imagine you casually wandering out of your house and padding into the library in your pyjamas, slippers, and coffee in hand — giving the librarian a little wave (who’s long since accepted you as a permanent fixture) — before thumbing a book off the shelf and making yourself at home in a beanbag? ☕📚
@LePossume HAHA I know exactly the coffee mug I will use and yes, what are neighbors for? It's only good manners to invite me in and make me feel at home.
