Many of you are no doubt aware of recent activity by a user angry about AI books being called out. Of course I am not responsible for their actions, but since it was triggered by some Listopia lists of AI-generated books I had created, I wanted to say I'm sorry you experienced all of that. I greatly appreciate all the GR librarian volunteers, you do an excellent job at preserving the integrity of this place which I dearly love.

In case any similar issues come up again, I would like to share that I contact Goodreads Support to verify whether the AI book lists I've made or voted on violate any guidelines (ticket #1577502). The response:

Hi Marc,

Thank you for writing in. These lists do not violate any of our guidelines, and members are allowed to add relevant books to them if they choose to do so.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to let us know.
