What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I had a book in the late 80s that I’d like to find for my kids. It was a choose your own adventure book but involved a dice. You had to throw a dice to battle goblins etc. and depending on your throw you went to different pages. It was a quest book possibly with Hobbit like themes (under a mountain). It was really hard to actually win.

Does anything on the You Choose list look familiar?

Maybe something from the Fighting Fantasy series?

Are you thinking of the Lone Wolf series? It does have a tunnel through the mountains bit in the 2nd book...
