Hello fellow authors! My name is Bo Starsky, I am a published author of queer fiction and an experienced proofreader looking for work. I have been working on both a freelance basis and with the publishers Improbable Press and Clan Destine Press for five years now. Before that I have over a decade of writing and self editing experience. Being autistic and trans I can also offer sensitivity reading for stories where those topics are relevant.

As an author I know how expensive it can be to hire a proofreader or an editor so I will gladly work with you to find a payment plan that works for you. My rates are $25 USD per hour for proofreading and 30$ USD per hour for copyediting. On average I can proof a 100k word novel in 5-6 hours. For editing it’s difficult to estimate since it depends on how much work is needed to get your book being the best it can be.

!I will not work with AI written works. If you couldn’t be bothered to write it yourself I won’t help you make it readable!
