I am down to the last 12 prompts. I am in the middle of The European Reformations by Carter Lindburg for a Seminary Textbook. I got Red Tent by Anita Diamant for OT Character, Careless Love by Peter Robinson for Title has Love in it, Cross-Cultural Servanthood by Duan Elmer for about Cross-Cultural Ministry on deck.
Happy All Saints (Hallow) Day!We have 2 months left.
Best: Nothing really.
Worse: Gravity and Grace by Simone Weil. This got a little to New Age for me and is just platitudes. It has Grace in the title and it was a quick read.
Surprise: Apology for Christianity by Timothy I. Read a debate between a Muslim ruler and a Christian that mirrors the modern debate ( Muslims have nothing and get destroyed). The version I got was very readable.
I didn't finish much in October. I'm still reading long books like John Adams, by McCullough. What I did finish: short novels, or novellas... via Audible.
Best: I Who Have Never Known Men, by Jacqueline Harpman
Worst: Marrow, by Aditi Brennan Kapil - an audio-drama on Audible - featuring the ramblings of an old woman... very confusing until the end.
Surprise: A Short Stay in Hell, by Steven L. Peck - interesting scenario of a Mormon man placed in hell where the demon in charge tells him the only true religion is Zoroastrianism. (Never believe what a demon says.) The man is sent to a huge library to look for a biography of his own life on earth. I liked the /book/ focus of this novella.

How about y’all?
