In consideration of the Winter Games… I have a lot of nominations 😂😂.Vicious Fae
Broken Fae
Warrior Fae
Mile High
The Deal
The Hunger Games
Hell Bent
A Discovery of Witches
Shadow of Night
The Book of Life
The Lost Bookshop
How My Neighbor Stole Christmas
Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries
Alchemised
How to Seal Your Own Fate
The Cinnamon Bun Book Store
The Poet X
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Oathbound
Rewitched
I‘m not planning to read all of these during November, but they are all books that fit prompts of the winter challenge. And maybe some of you would like to buddy read any of these books.
@Sophie sorry it’s a lot I know 🙈🙈
@ Sarah-Vanessa Woah Big Plans 😂 1. Would love to join you for Oathbound (Have started before in the spring but a buddy read will help starting anew)
2. Regarding the "All Souls"-Series, I already read "A discovery of Witches" but would be happy to join you for part two and three of the series whenever you've read book one. Unless you already read part two, because you didn't list it, then the question would most likely be moot anyway😅
@Juliane Yes, big goals… I‘ll never read all of these 😂😂 Just thought why not suffocate everyone with a huge list, that fits the prompts for the winter challenge.I‘m in for Oathbound I just want to finish this series - although it seems there’s a 4th book coming in the future - and haven‘t yet.
Messed up the All Souls series… Haven’t read any of them, started A discovery of witches a few weeks back and dnf‘d it. But I so want to read this series, so let’s give it another chance. We can do book 2&3 ( just changed my initial post). I‘ll read book 1 before our buddy read.
@ Sarah-Vanessa I know the feeling planning way too much for the Team-Games 😂 Regarding Oathbound, finding out just before the publication that this wasn't the big finish and there will be a 4th book was part of the reason I had a bit of a slump during my first try 😅
What do you think about 10-11 days, should leave us with an average of around 60 pages a day.
Regarding All Souls-Series, Sorry I added another book to your list with part two 😂 I don't mind checking if my library has part 4 available if we want to continue after three. Just let me know whenever your ready after part one and we can discuss timing/schedule then if that works for you too
I also started planning for the games so my apologies for my list as well! (Additionally, not all books I hope to read specifically in November but I do hope to read most then as December is the busiest month for me at work.)Mickey7
The Girl on the Train
Poor Things
O Caledonia
When the Moon Hatched (technically a re-read but would love to be refreshed before the sequel)
Snowglobe
What the River Knows & Where the Library Hides
Lightlark
The Baby Dragon Café & The Baby Dragon Bakery
Janice Hallett - Most of her books are unusual format and mixed media. I've read The Appeal already so mostly considering The Twyford Code or The Killer Question. I do have a couple others by her as well so doesn't have to just be one of the ones listed.
Sarah-Vanessa wrote: "In consideration of the Winter Games… I have a lot of nominations 😂😂."@Sarah-Vanessa: I am terrified but this may be the kick in the pants I need but I will buddy read Alchemised with you!
@Brianna I fully understand, Alchemised is terrifying. Happy to read this together with you and @Anushka@Brianna I love your selection. I might come back to your suggestions, as soon as I completed my planning for the challenge (probably end of October). Some of them are on my TBR.
@Michelle Great! I haven’t read any of the Hunger Games Books. What about you? For now I just planned to read book one, but let’s wait and see… Happy to Buddy Read with you.
I forgot Crown of Midnight on my huge nomination list. 😜
@Sarah-Vanessa & @Michelle I'm down to read The Hunger Games as well as Catching Fire & Mockingjay ?
@Sarah-Vanessa, @Brianna & @Anushka I'm also going to be brave and join you guys for Alchemised. I tried to read it when it was a fanfic a couple of years ago, and lets just say I was a little put off.....
@Sarah-Vanessa, I'm also happy to read The Poet X & The Perks of Being a Wallflower with you. I know you've got a busy month ahead so we can move to December if it's easier for you but those two should be much easier and faster reads nonetheless.
@Brianna I'm definitely down to read What the River Knows & Where the Library Hides. Book 1 will be a re-read for me but I'll make sure I don't spoil anything for you.

@Sophie Alright I could switch some things around and we could do all 3 Hunger Games Books. Do you want to read all three of these in November or would you like to spread it over the two months?Poet X and the Perks of being a Wallflower works for me to read both during November.
Happy to have you for Alchemised as well. 🥰
@Brianna @Sophie I‘m intrigued to join you for What the River Knows and Where the Library hides… But I might put too much on my plate, so I‘ll join spontaneously, depending on how the month goes.
I'm going to play devil's advocate and nominate a few....
A Man Called Ove
Beartown
The Seven Year Slip
The Dead Romantics
Penance
Fuel the Fire
Long Way Down
Moonstone
The Night Circus
Ready or Not
Due to the fact I've already joined a couple of buddy reads, I'm definitely not going to read all of these in November, but I'm happy to save them until December :)

@Sophie I‘ll join you for Night Circus. That’s on my list as well for the winter challenge. I was going to nominate it for December. We can read it during November or December, depending on what’s better for you ☺️.
@Sarah-Vanessa @The Night Circus
I'll see how the schedules are for the rest of the already agreed BR's are, and if it just doesn't fit, I'm more than happy to read it in December instead :)

re: Alchemised: Sarah-Vanessa, Anushka, SophieWith this one being over 1,000 pages, should we space it across the full month of November?
re: What the River Knows & Where the Library Hides: Sophie, Sarah-Vanessa
What the River Knows would also be a re-read for me but I wanted a refresh before hopping into the sequel. Did we want to try for both in November and maybe 5 days each?
re: Crowns of Nyaxia: Anushka
I'm not planning on reading any of the novellas so the next one my plate would be The Fallen & the Kiss of Dusk. I'd be down to buddy read it! Any preference on month or length? (ETA: I just noticed you mentioned November which works for me - any particular time frame for this one? I don't think it's as long as the third was but I could be mistaken.)
@Brianna @What the River Knows & Where the Library Hides
I can do the five days for each, I'll create the schedule tomorrow, what date would you want to start?

Sarah-Vanessa wrote: "@Brianna I think it’s a great idea to spread it over the whole month."re: Alchemised: Sarah-Vanessa, Anushka, Sophie
It looks like there are 3 parts and 78 chapters, plus an epilogue so 79 total. That would be an average of 2-3 chapters a day. Would that work for y'all?

re: What the River Knows & Where the Library Hides: Sophie, Sarah-Vanessa
Earlier in the month would work for me! Currently I don't have anything specific planned so fairly open.
re: Alchemised: 2-3 chapters a day sounds good.re: The Fallen and the Kiss of Dusk: Nov 20 - Nov 30 would be great. I'll get time to read the novella by then.
Anushka wrote: "re: Alchemised: 2-3 chapters a day sounds good.re: The Fallen and the Kiss of Dusk: Nov 20 - Nov 30 would be great. I'll get time to read the novella by then."
re: The Fallen & the Kiss of Dusk: Anushka
The 20th - 30th works for me! I believe there are 95 chapters (this includes the prologue, epilogue, and interludes) and my copy has 543 pages. This would be around 50 pages/day. Would the below schedule work?

@Sarah-Vanessa
I was thinking this for The Poet X? It's pretty easy and fast paced due to the unusual format so it shouldn't majorly interfere with any other buddy reads.
1st: Pages 1-36
2nd: Pages 37-72
3rd: Pages 73-108
4th: Pages 109-144
5th: Pages 145-180
6th: Pages 181-216
7th: Pages 217-252
8th: Pages 253-288
9th: Pages 289-324
10th: Pages 325-end
I can't seem to find my copy of The Perks of Being a Wallflower so I can't make the schedule. I'll keep looking but if I can't find it in time, we could leave it till December?

Works for me!
oh boy.....I'll also join for @alchemised. I started reading it when it was released, but soft DNFed it 2 chapters in bc it was too daunting lol. but hopefully the games and br will motivate me.
and what the heck, throw me in for a reread of the hunger games!
and what the heck, throw me in for a reread of the hunger games!
@Michelle yes, same here. I‘ve only seen the movies. The books are standing in my bookshelf for a while now and I‘m finally ready to tackle them.@Edith Yey! Happy to have you for Alchemised and The Hunger Games! I‘m scared of Alchemised 😂.
@Sophie The schedules for book 1 & 2 Hunger Games and the Poet X work for me. Thanks for creating them. Let’s do book 3 of Hunger Games during December.
I have the German Edition of The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I suppose doesn’t change much in terms of chapters. Here’s a possible schedule:
12: Chapter 1
13: Chapter 2
14: Chapter 3
15: Chapter 4
16: Epilogue - End
You can plan it for the 5 days that suit you. Some of the chapters are shorter and some longer. Approximately between 50-70 pages per day.
Let me know if that works for you
Leslie wrote: "@Brianna I would love to join you with the Snowglobe buddy read."November 11th-20th would be the best window for me. My copy is 372 pages so we don't necessarily need to split it across the full time frame.
Would someone wish to read The Bone Season with me? I know November seems super packed already but let me know. I'd be up for whatever pace and time suits you.
@Juliane Lost track of all the buddy reads… do we have schedules already for book 2&3 of the All Souls series and Oathbound?Do you have any preference in terms of starting date? I‘m planning on reading A discovery of witches before the 1st of November. Would it be an option for you to spread each book over 14 days? or is that too slowly paced for you?
@Brianna I‘m intrigued to buddy read the two dragon café books… What do you think? I know I‘m definitely overdoing myself, but what the heck 🤣😂
@ Sarah-Vanessa No I don't believe we managed yet, but I had to look through the whole thread first because I wasn't sure anymore either 😂No problem going a bit slower, actually gives me a better chance to read other books at the same time so 14 Days is absolutely fine by me for all three books.
How about the All Souls series in November and than Oathbound late in the last week and going into December or do you want to do Oathbound parallel to one of the others? Either way works for me and I'm still completely flexible time-wise so if you would like to pick starting dates that work best with all your other buddy reads thats fine by me.
@Juliane That works for me… Here are the possible schedules:Shadow of Night:
01: Chapter 1-3
02: Chapter 4-6

07: Chapter 19-21

10: Chapter 28-30
11: Chapter 31-33
12: Chapter 34-36

03: Chapter 41-45
04: Chapter 46-49
05: Chapter 50-54
06: Chapter 55-58
07: Chapter 59-62
@ Sarah-Vanessa Those look good and work for me as well. Thank you very much for making the schedules.
@Brianna hey, just quickly asking if you saw my post here regarding the Baby Dragon series. I‘d be up to read that in November if you still have the capacity? I probably don’t but still want to 😂😂

Is there a time frame that would be preferred? We can do book 1 in November and book 2 in December if that helps?
@Brianna All good I just wasn’t sure if you‘d even see it hidden in the other post. November is quite full, so the time frame doesn’t really matter. Do you have a preferred tine frame? Of course we can also do one in November and the other one in December both works for me.

I could go either way. IF we do both in November I feel like doing book 1 in the first half of the month and book 2 in the second half of the month would be best. October is turning into a super depressing time so I could definitely use some cute/cozy vibes in November. This way too if we both fall behind, we can move a bit into December as a back up.
