For this prompt, we’re pulling from The 52 Book Club vault. “Includes a Map” first appeared on our 2022 challenge, and was chosen to reappear on this 2026 challenge by our 52 Book Club members.

Pick any book that includes a map. This may be fiction or non-fiction. Maps usually appear at the beginning of a book, but may also be included on the cover, inside the front cover, as an insert in the book, or within the general content. Maps come in a variety of styles.

As long as at least one edition includes a map, you can read that book using any format or edition.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Had to pick up the library book as mine didn't have a map.

Read "De Brief voor de Koning" (The Letter for the King) by Tonke Dragt for this prompt. Wanted to finish the book before going to see the theater play on the 8th of March. Had trouble getting into it, as it differs in pace from the movie, that I watched a couple of times before picking up the read. Once I got through the first 50 pages, though, I really started to enjoy it and had trouble putting it away. Already ordered the sequel. 4 star read!

Just starting The Wishing Game by Meg Shaffer. Was on my Want to Read list for a while. Found it in my local library.

The Wishing Game is already in the thread, but I stumbled into it from a sibling's recommendation and was pleasantly surprised to see a map at the beginning.

For non-fiction, I would imagine that many travel and history books include maps.

Birding to Change the World: A Memoir has a map during one of the chapters. If you are doing the PopSugar challenge with the "book about birding" prompt, then this could do double duty.

Completed reading - Centennial by James A. Michener I originally added this for the Includes a Natural Disaster prompt as it does include experiences from The Dust Bowl, but this book also has several maps included throughout so I'm moving it over to this prompt instead.

Vision in Silver by Anne Bishop has a map of the town it (mostly) takes place in.

The Fellowship of the Ring by JRR Tolkien and The Battle of Britain by James Holland. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I read Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire, which includes a map of Oz.

“Seeing a Large Cat” by Elizabeth Peters is another amazing adventure in her Amelia Peabody Series. It does include a map of the Valley of the Kings. This is book 9. I suggest starting with book 1.

I enjoyed reading (and watching) The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien

Agatha Christie used them often, including in her first book, The Mysterious Affair at Styles. So there's my choice for this prompt.

For this prompt I read the book Corte de Chamas Prateadas, which I don't recomend because I hated it.
