It is wild that Waldman can play 7 chess boards blind, all in his head. These people that can really do this totally intrigue me!

through 13-(view spoiler)[ I can't imagine losing my memories all at once. It breaks my heart how much she loves him and what she will sacrifice believing and having faith that she will help him come back to her. (hide spoiler)]

through 18-(view spoiler)[ Even though Stanley has no memory of her, he knows her. That is precious. Its like a deja vu almost. His body knows that they have known each other for 50 years! This book may be very dark with the ideas that this memory manipulation might be able to really happen, the love story is very sweet. (hide spoiler)]

It just wasn’t for me. Couldn’t keep up with it. I know plenty have really liked it!

10 chapters - so far I'm liking it!

I agree - able to juggle that many boards is just wild! I can't keep up with one!

but (view spoiler)[ I'm so sad the friend is experimenting on people. I think that's such a leap and such a terrible one - can't help but feel like they should have all weighed in. but that's the problem with Stanley's friend!! He's always been headstrong and wants to be first in everything - even at the cost of others!

and I really like the wife but can't help but feel like she is being manipulated.

It breaks my heart that Stanley recognizes her in every memory, no matter her age. makes me wonder if he's agreed to this or if he knew they would one day do this to him.

and Has he always known and loved her? did she manipulate her way into his memories, or him into hers?? Hmmm. . I wonder if he's a bigger role later on than we think. . . (hide spoiler)]

ha! I love that she visited the old teacher but I fear that SHE is the reason he took his life and why he pushed Stanley away. heartbreaking.

and the guy pushing her is just awful. ugh, and the words she had to say to her daughter were just heart breaking!! NOW we know why they aren't speaking!

I love that we got so many sweet moments between them - as they fall in love with each other over and over

ha! I loved it! Maggie is going to keep living her memories, over and over, of how much she loves her husband and their lives together. Ugh, I just love that. AND she was definitely going to be willing to do that as long as Jack was!! I just new it was him.
