ok so basically all of a sudden my kindle wont turn on and google said to reset it so i tried holding the power button for 40 seconds and 15ish seconds in the charging light started flashing and i was like well thats not good and it said to try charging it for an hour so im gonna try that but it saying that my battery might need replaced and idek what happened bc just a few hours ago i was on my kindle and it was working fine it was at 40 percent to

hii, sorry I cannot help you myself this has never happened to my kindle, but here are a few steps that ai recommended. Ik you have done most of these but here you go:
1. Plug Kindle into a wall charger using the original Kindle cable and adapter for at least 1 hour.


2. Hold the power button for 40 seconds, then release.


3. Wait a few seconds, then press the power button again.


4. If no response, try a different outlet or adapter.


5. If still dead, connect to a computer for a few hours.


6. If it still won’t turn on, contact Amazon Support — battery may need replacing.

When u hold the power button and it starts blinking, keep holding.

First it will blink green, then orange, and the blinking will speed up when it turns orange.
It will blink for a shorter period when it turns orange so u have to watch it carefully, because when it stops blinking completely is when u release the power button.

It’ll then reset so u have to give it a min before the tree with the reader will pop up.
