The October 2025 Dewey's Readathon kicks off at 8am Eastern Time. Grab your first book, your beverage, your snacks and whatever else you need, and we'll dive into this readathon with our traditional Hour 1 sprint. I got to 17% in The Colors of All the Cattle by Alexander McCall Smith.

I read 34 pages of Agent Zigzag: A True Story of Nazi Espionage, Love, and Betrayal during that sprint. A great start to the readathon.

I am really trying to focus on the Sprints this year. I always get distracted throughout the read-a-thon and end up doing household and family stuff and frittering away my reading time. So THIS year I am trying to literally "drop everything and read" for each sprint. And then I can wonder off and do other stuff as I see fit in between (or continue reading of course) in between. BUT the sprints are my way to focus back on the reading!
