Can you believe there are only 74 days left in 2025? Book lovers, what has been your favourite read this year?

I’ve read some amazing books this year it is difficult to choose just one. I think I’ll pick The Seven and a half Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. Only because I didn’t know what to expect and I really did enjoy it.

Here are my five star ratings of 2025

Fantastic! The Terror has been on my Christmas wishlist a few times now, still waiting for it to appear under the tree!🎄
What a great question. I would say
The WomenIt is not my usual read, and it was such a surprise that I loved it so much.

Excellent! Always fun when a book turns out to be a surprise favourite, isn’t it?
I had a few 5-star reads. Here are some highlights of those:Shroud by Adrian Tchaikovsky
Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier
Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid
The Inheritance by Ilona Andrews
Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V.E. Schwab

Oh I LOVE TJR. I haven't read all of her books yet, but I've given every one that I've read 5 stars. This one was by far my favrotie though!
A SHADOW OF ALL LIGHT by Fred Chapell was my best read of 2025 . It was a kinda weird story. I may read it again for better understanding . The subject (detachable shadows) still intrigues me .
Jana wrote: "I read Atmosphere twice this year, and honestly might do it again before the year is up."I am glad you liked it. I am hoping I will! Reading the synopsis I've been on the fence about this one, but there has been so much hype about it I finally requested it from the library and its on my pile to read after the read-a-thon.
