What book have you finished during this readathon? Did you like it? Would you recommend it? What books does it remind you of (if you like ___ you might also like ___ )?

Jana Eichhorn | 314 comments First one finished was The Favorites, which was GREAT. Definitely recommend for any fans of Taylor Jenkins Reid; the writing style was very similar to hers.

The Colors of All the Cattle, by Alexander McCall Smith. Book 19 in the series. I find some of the regular characters in this series really annoying, but the stories are good enough. I do wish this one ended differently, but it is still ~4 stars for me. Good book, but best read in order with its series.

Vavita | 191 comments I finished Hungerstone by Kat Dunn
I gave it 5 stars. Even though it is a bit slow, still it is a very interesting take on Carmilla.

Ooo, I wanted to read this one today but my hold at the library hasn't come in yet.

I enjoyed The Favorites a lot!

Vicki Willis | 555 comments I finished Suicide Med by Freida McFadden Suicide Med (the last 15%)
It did not read like a current Freida McFadden book, but was good all the way to the end. The ending was terrible. Ruined the book. I would rate it 3 stars, but not recommend it.

Katherine Hayward Pérez | 73 comments I finished After the Party After the Party by C.L. Swatman I’ve reviewed many of Clare Swatman’s Women’s Fiction books, and liked them. This thriller was good.

Elizabeth (ebpnd17) | 5 comments I just finished Notes on Your Sudden Disappearance by Alison Espach . It was very wistful and not quite what I expected, but I enjoyed it. It made me laugh, and also made me tear up quite a bit. Gave it 3.5 stars. Very much a coming of age/growing up with tragedy story. Going to try for a happier one next!

Dee (austhokie) | 129 comments The Night Villa -last hour of audio - interesting blend of modern mystery and historical fiction

The Name of the Rosé - cozy mystery - a bit ehh, but it worked for another challenge i'm doing

Frankissstein: A Love Story - take frankinstein, make it set modern day with AI/Robots - interesting take but didn't quite live up to potential

Elizabeth (ebpnd17) | 5 comments Finished A Trinket for the Taking (Magical Trinket Mysteries #1) by Victoria Laurie about an hour ago, but didn't love it. Went to my shortest book next: What Does It Feel Like? by Sophie Kinsella and I really liked it other than the excessive crying I did!

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 1544 comments Finished these two, recommend both for paranormal series!

Strike It Witch (Smokethorn Paranormals #1) by C.P. Rider The Mermaid’s Bubble Lounge (Sam Quinn, #8) by Seana Kelly

Finished Killing Crazy Horse: The Merciless Indian Wars in America, by Bill O'Reilly. Another really good history book in this series. Accurate, well researched, and good storytelling, this time dealing with one of the uglier chapters in US history. I'm still rather impressed by this series, and am not surprised that it is popular. 5 stars.

Rereading a favorite is a great idea. I sometimes do that during this readathon, but this time I've been focusing on finishing some review copies.
