Gaiman has mixed horror and fantasy and a bit of science fiction in these short stories. Now that I am better today, I can see how much of the wonder of these stories I have missed. I will have to revisit some of these stories later.

Endling"
I finished both this evening. Excellent reads. The Sons of El Rey was on audio and Endling on Kindle.
Next 2 books are:
The Satisfaction Café
My Dark Vanessa - audio
My audio plans were kind of thwarted as Audible was down for hours today. Did listen to some more Mason though and almost done
Lamilla wrote: "Good luck with finishing Shōgun, Cathy! I understand this is a reread?"It is, I read it several times as a teen and tween. First time in the original English this time.
I finished reading
on Sunday, which I started on Saturday. I read

Cynda wrote: "Erin, did the Audible situation work out?"Finally! I was able to finish the rest of my Perry Mason. :)
I have gotten into this fun YA series with melodrama but addicting mindless stuffTuesday finished:
Yesterday read a lot of the sequel:
@Susy: Not very much! 😂 I listened to the audiobook and definitely thought I'd hit back a few times because he was saying something he'd already said before and in the same way! And that happened like 4 times!! His editor should have cut that. And it was kind of pervy but there's an interview with him at the end and he said that was how he wanted it and basically that all old men are lusting after 20 year olds so that was icky.
Good! . . . I think the Perry Mason is growing on me. I feel I could read the second book before making a decision of continuing on.
Flying to Ecuador messed up my reading plans.
I spent Tuesday packing and finalizing work.
Wednesday was just flying day (15 hours). I watched 5 movies on the plane but couldn’t concentrate on reading.
Thursday fighting with jet lag….

Some romantic movie with Dakota Johnson and Pedro Pascal. Materialistic, I think it is called…
Then Sinners! So good! I am sure it will become a favorite for Halloween
And some oldies: Little Shop of Horrors, Blade, and Haunted Mansion.

Still need to watch Little Shop of Horrors and Sinners. Not sure I’ve watched the old Haunted Mansion….
Due to convos here last weekend, I decided to drip my toe into horror by reading Transformation by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley. Fortunes, shipwreck, traded bodies, marriage. I will be reading more Mary Shelley, likely next October.
Susy, the long short story Transformation by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley is eerie gothic-horror where the main character is running around and away as rich young men of the period could do--early 19th century when he meets a monster who wants to trade places with the young man. Is this to be a demonic possession or a ghost possession or what? Will the young man running away stop running away from a pre-contracted marriage and from dealing with financial problems?
The story is many more eerie because I listened to this You Tube video: https://youtu.be/wWlPmCzpdJs?si=0fQAb...
It looks scary already. . . . The image is just to show it is a eerie story.
