Michael T. Lester | 2 comments I'm not sure where to put this, so I'll put it here.

Like many of you, the common narrative didn't sit right with me. As a former Marine Corps Officer and Pilot, I drank the CoolAid, but it never tasted right. Consequently, I've spent the last 20 years researching the U.S. and its actions in the world. The result is this book. It covers briefly so many of the topics of this group!

It goes live on 11/3, just 11 days from now, and I'm publishing independently. I need reviews, and so I'm offering anyone who reads this and messages me a free PDF version of the book. Just let me know, and I'll send it to you. My only ask is that you post a review. Thank you, and Enjoy!

Vasyl Kazmirchuk | 24 comments Sounds fascinating, Michael — respect for taking the indie route and speaking your truth.
I’m also an independent author working in the psychological & spiritual thriller genre (Be Not Afraid series).
Would love to exchange thoughts or simply support each other’s work — indie writers have to stick together.

Michael T. Lester | 2 comments Hi Vasyl. Thank you! Re the Indie route: my book can be controversial. It definitely is not a parrot of the trending narrative. Besides, I've heard from other authors that it takes almost 18 months to get a book out with a regular publisher. Too long!

I'd be happy to exchange thoughts and support your work. Compared to what you do, my writing is easy. I just research, observe, and write down what I've found. You need to actually create something that isn't there. That is much more difficult!

Vasyl Kazmirchuk | 24 comments Thanks, Michael — I really appreciate that. I think we both write from a place of honesty, just in different ways. You expose truths that already exist; I try to explore the unseen ones — inside people, where fear and faith collide.
It’s great to meet someone who values depth over trends. Let’s stay in touch — I’d love to exchange thoughts once your book goes live.
