My daughter read this book a year or two ago when she was in elementary school (2022 to 2024). She loved the book but can't remember the title or cover art.

The protagonist is a young girl who draws horses. Her mother becomes ill and dies. At one point, the girl traces a horse onto a cake but then she scribbles it out. But the big twist is that she wakes up and she's in a world where the horses she's drawn are alive.
